Nick first became involved in steel erecting whilst working weekends for his father who had his own steel erecting firm; this gave him a bit of money whilst still at 6th form. For the last 10 years he has worked for Steel Craft Erection Services during that time he worked up from erector to engineer, supervisor, and site manager.

Allan’s first experience with surveying was at college he completed a 2 year BTEC course in construction at The National construction College in Bircham Newton. After he completed the course in the year 2000 he was offered an engineers job working on the Bull ring in Birmingham with his uncles company MCS Structures. During Allan’s employment at MCS Structures he provided a high quality standard of work that was required on the various projects that MCS Structures completed during his 7 year spell as MCS Structures head Engineer!

It was during Nicks last year at Steelcraft whilst working with Allan that they both saw an opportunity to supply engineers that would work closely with the steel erectors, and able to understand the tolerances & practical aspects of lining up steel framed buildings. From this Arthur Hudson Ltd was formed.

Nick & Allan finished the projects that they were working on & started working for Arthur Hudson in 2007 whilst maintaining close links with there former employers they have been able to secure work on several prominent developments.
